BLUE CRUISE ITINERARY

Day 1
• Pick up from Olympos around 10 am to Demre, the journey takes 1.5 to 2 hours.
• Pick up from Demre bus station around 12:00 than stop for shopping & banking before boarding your yacht at Cayagzi Andriake harbour.
• Cruise to Pirates Cave for snorkeling
• Cruise to Sunken City – cruise over the ancient ruins of this World Heritage site.
• Cruise to Simena Castle - walk up to the top & witness a magical view over the Bay taking in the underwater Lycenian Tombs and across to the Sunken City.
• Gokkaya Bay for the night.

Smuggler’s Inn
- Its party time at the nearby Island disco where you can meet up with the other cruising travelers for a night of dancing under the stars or you can simply relax back and chill out on your yacht.

Day 2
• Breakfast at either Yaglica or nearby Bays for some swimming
• Cruise to Kas harbour for lunch. Time to explore this small Turkish town for shopping and internet.
• Cruise to Aquarium Bay for dinner and stay for the night

Day 3
• Cruise to north, wake up with views of the beautiful Butterfly Valley. After breakfast there is time for sunbathing, swimming and an optional hike up to the waterfall.
• Oludeniz – Europe’s most stunning beach & one of the best spots in the world for paragliding. Swim to the beach and there is also the option to paraglide.
• Anchor at St. Nicholas Island for the night. Optional walk up through the Island’s ruins to witness the spectacular sunset.

Day 4
• Breakfast at St. Nicholas Island.
• Cruise to Samanlik Bay or Tarzan's Bay for swimming & lunch
• Arrive Fethiye harbour after lunch around 14 pm. Overnight at Fethiye Harbour.

On the fourth day of our cruise, we will arrive in Fethiye Harbour late afternoon where we will stay overnight. The harbour in right in the Centrum of Fethiye so your night could be colorful.

Fethiye has many sites you can visit, Kayakay (Greek Village) is highly recommended to visit.

Fethiye, also known as Telmessos in the ancient times, was the most important city situated on Lycia's western border with Caria. It is believed that the city's name comes from Apollon's son Telmessos. As the name suggests, the city was the city of light and was famous for its prophets. Fethiye stretches in a half circle along the bay protected by 12 Islands.

Day 5
• After having new clients this day, we leave Fethiye harbour around 11.00 to 11.45 am and destined for Butterfly Valley Bay for swimming & lunch and an optional hike up to the waterfall
• Oludeniz – Europe’s most stunning beach & one of the best spots in the world for paragliding. Swim to the beach and there is also the option to paraglide and Anchor at St. Nicholas Island for the night.

Day 6
• Cruise to Kas region, stop at one of many beautiful bays for breakfast & swimming. There is option to do Diving on this day.
• Cruise to Kas harbour for lunch. Time to explore this small Turkish town for shopping and internet.
• Cruise to one of secluded bay's between Kas and Kekova for the night.

Day 7
• Cruise to Sunken City – cruise over the ancient ruins of this World Heritage site.
• Cruise to Simena Castle - walk up to the top & witness a magical view over the Bay, taking in the underwater Lycian Tombs and across to the Sunken City.
• Gokkaya Bay for the night

• Its party time at the nearby Island disco where you can meet up with the other cruising travelers for a night of dancing under the stars or you can simply relax back and chill out on your yacht. Free service boat will pick you up late night and they run back regular all night.

Day 8
- After Breakfast we continue to Pirates Cave or nearby Bay for snorkeling than disembark from Cayagzi (Andriake) Harbour before lunch time 10:30 - 11.00 am. Lunch is not included on the last day.

After disembark
• Transfer to Demre, free time for shopping and banking.
• Free transfer to the tree house of your choice in Olympos.
• If you're planning to go to other locations than Olympos, you'll be dropped off at Demre Bus Station where you can catch buses. Buses to Antalya depart every 30 min, buses to Kas or Fethiye depart every hour and no need to (can't) book pre book these buses.

Note
- The Olympos Fethiye Olympos 1 week Cruise is combination of Olympos to Fethiye and fethiye to Olympos cruise, therefore there are number of highlights which you'll visit twice such as Oludeniz, Butterfly Valley, Kas, Sunken city, Simena castle etc, the side places besides these spots such as over night stops, little bay's we stop for meals & swimming etc are all different on return direction.
- All efforts will be made to follow this itinerary, however in cases of poor weather and/or sea conditions, this schedule may change. This could include altered daily plans and overnight stops. In these situations all efforts will be made to consult customers on alternative options, no money will be refunded.

What to Expect

Our Blue Cruises are a must do of the Mediterranean and an overall highlight of Turkey according to our guests. However, please read this section.

• We use our standard gulets for our regular cabin cruises. In some cases they will be equipped with AC however, are not turned on for these particular cruises. All regular cruises will not provide AC.

• Hotel or cruise comfort should not be expected on standard Blue Cruises. Most cabins have a private bathroom with showers, enough space for your bags, and very few have wardrobes and power outlets. Size of cabins also vary on all boats, They are adequate enough but may be smaller than expected.

• All our gulets are Turkish handmade and wooden, therefore all are unique in size, cabin style, bedding configuration and condition. Each gulet is different and you will rarely find two the same.

BEFORE PLANNING (Important)

Travelling from various destinations to Olympos for cruise?
We promote this tour as a Fethiye to Olympos blue cruise'' or ''Olympos to Fethiye blue cruise,'' but the part between Olympos and Demre is a bus transfer, the cruise starts from Demre (see the map above). We offer free pick up from accommodations in Olympos leaving around 10 am.

If you wont be staying in Olympos the night before and arriving from other destinations to join on our cruise (from Cappadocia, Antalya, Istanbul, Fethiye etc), it would be easier for you to travel direct to Demre and pick you up from Demre bus station around 11:45 - 12:15.

If you're meeting us in Demre bus station, make sure you let us know in advance, otherwise if you are not in Olympos in the morning for the pickup, your spot may be sold.

Joining the tour From Cirali Beach?
We do not offer transfers from Cirali Beach, as it is in the opposite direction; however you can join our shuttle with prior arrangement. We start collecting people from Olympos at 10.00 am and on our way we can pick people up from the 'Olympos minibus station' (Olympos Koop, Eski Olympos Dolmus Duragi), by the main road around 10:30 am. This is one of two bus stations in Olympos, so please make sure you go to the correct one. What you should do:
- You will need to arrange your own transfer to the station, it's 30 min away from Cirali.
- You need to let us know if this is what you plan on doing so we know where to look for you.
The normal transfer charges from Cirali are; 1 - 4 persons = 30 YTL, 5 - 8 persons = 50 YTL, prices may vary at the hotels, we cannot arrange this for you. Please remember you should be at the station in Olympos ready by 10:30 am.

Arriving Demre by Private Car?
We do have a vehicle transfer service between Demre and Fethiye. You can drop your car off in Demre and our driver will deliver it to you at Fethiye Harbour when you finish the cruise. If you would like to use this service, you should let us know when booking your cruise.

This service costs 50 Euros, excluding fuel.

FURTHER INFO & FAQ'S - (Important)

Individuals or small groups of any nationality and age are most welcome to join. Yachting is usually thought of as an expensive luxury, but our cabin cruise rates and prices are based on per person, which makes it all the more affordable.

Departures
April to end of October, departs almost everyday.

Need to book ahead
You do need to book ahead. Guide books recommend that you should go to the harbour and book, but this has changed. In the last few years our cruises have become so popular that not many people visiting Turkey leave without experiencing the Fethiye - Olympos Cruise.
*Please note that in peak season we may be fully booked 2.5 - 3 weeks ahead of departure times so booking ahead is essential.

Sleeping / Accommodation
Depending on the boat, cabins have 1 big double bed, 2 beds or 3 beds, all cabins have a private bathroom and hot shower. You can share your cabin with your partner or friends. If you are travelling solo, you will share a cabin with another person unless the boat isn’t full.
You can also book a private cabin for yourself for double the cost. Most people sleep on the deck under the stars rather than their cabins!

Where are the people from?
Large percentage of our customers are from English speaking countries, however we also get guests from other European countries.

Quiet trips or party boats?
Customers make the atmosphere so it all depends on who is on the yacht. Alaturka has departures everyday, some days more than 1 or 2 yachts are leaving, so we do consider age groups and requests when booking. We try to make it work for everyone but we cannot guarantee whether it is going to be quiet or a party boat, as we take bookings through out the year and only meet customers the morning of the cruise.

Crew
Usually 3 crew on each boat, Captain, Chef & Skipper. Depending on size & conditions of Gulet there may be 1 less or 1 extra crew. Rare but we may not have good English speaking crew on board on some trips.

What to bring onboard
1) Your passports for check in
2) Towels (we don't provide)
3) Personal items such as Sun block & after sun lotion, Sunglasses, Swimsuit, Camera, Shoes for walks off the boat.
4) We don't sell cigarettes or snacks such as chocolate and crisps etc onboard, you can bring but we you can also buy at some stops so no need to stock up

Towels
Not provided so please bring your own.

What not to bring onboard
Please don't bring any drinks onboard (including water), all sold on board at reasonable prices.

Charging, Power, Electricity
All cabins have normal power Plugs with 12W or 24W power which wont be enough to charge laptops, at ports we have 220W when charging gulet batteries. Some of our Gulets has generators which would allow charging 220W when its turned on.

You can book some additional activities with us before the cruise begins like these -

Paragliding Over Oludeniz (Blue Lagoon) - 2000 meters
In one word; Amazing!!!. Over the best beach in Europe, Oludeniz...
It’s easier than you think; you just walk down the hill tandem (with a pilot). You’re in the air on your 2nd or 3rd step then swooping down really smoothly above one of the best paragliding areas in the world for up to 45 mins, before landing on blue lagoon. Piece of cake!

Diving In Kas
Kas is a favorite spot for diving in Turkey. You can see some Ottoman ships or German planes from the Second World War, there are also some Ancient ruins to see. We can arrange this experience for you.
* You need to book all additional activities before your cruise, so we can arrange a speed boat pick up / drop off service to the boat. The pick up / drop off service is included.
