Fethiye - Greek Islands - Fethiye Itinerary

Day 1

Fethiye 


Today your adventure sailing the Greek Isles begins! You will be visiting the wonders of the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands for the next 8 days, full of historic sites and wonderful natural landscapes on your private gulet cruise. Check into your gulet in the afternoon around 15:30pm. Once you are on board you will be given information and settled into your cabins. Tonight you will be staying in Fethiye Harbour so you have the afternoon and evening to explore town. You may like to visit the Lycian tombs high in the cliff faces for sunset or enjoy the shopping in the old town. Dinner will be served onboard and then you may like to go back into town to explore the nightlife of Fethiye or enjoy a quiet drink on the boat.

Day 2

Fethiye to Rhodes

Today you will head out of Fethiye Harbour nice and early to head towards Rhodes; said to be one of the most beautiful of the Greek Islands. Rhodes is known as the "Sun Island" and as it gets over 300 days of sun a year, you can see why. As you arrive into the old town you have the day to wander through the cobbled streets of the old town of Rhodes. The island is full of history interwoven with legendary stories, so as you walk the streets you can admire the magnificent Grand Master's Palace, the Byzantine church, the moat and the ancient walls and mosques that hold so many secrets. As we will spend the night in the harbour, after dinner on board you have the night to go and enjoy the nightlife in Rhodes.

Day 3

Rhodes to Symi

After breakfast, you will then head onto the next Greek Island - Symi. Symi is a smaller island that as you pull into harbour you will really notice all the colour of this beautiful little island. The coloured houses lining the shore will attract your eye and make for a more than welcoming second stop of your cruise. Again you will stay overnight in Symi Harbour, so you have the afternoon to enjoy wandering the streets, sitting and having a cold drink in one of the cafes and don's miss out on the beautiful sunset at the water's edge.

Day 4

Symi to Bozburun

Today you will head back into Turkish waters bound for the fishing village of Bozburun. Here you can really kick back and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that you can find here. You will have time to go ashore and visit the tea garden scattered in the eucalyptus trees, enjoy the little shops of the village or get pampered at the local barbers. You will be spending the evening at Bozburun so you have the afternoon and after dinner to really explore and enjoy the small village way of life.

Day 5

Bozburun to Kadirga Bay


Today you get to really enjoy some time out on the waters. After breakfast, you will cruise onto Serce Bay. Here you can find one of the oldest shipwrecks in the world, so take the time out to enjoy snorkelling in the bay, swimming and sunbathing. Later in the day, you will cruise onto Kadirga Bay, where you can do more of the same. You will anchor down here for the evening.

Day 6

Bozburun to Ekincik

Today you cruise onto the beautiful Ekincik area. On arrival, you will have the choice to either stay on board and enjoy swimming and relaxing or you may be interested in the optional excursion we can help organise here for you going to Dalyan and Kaunos. Kaunas is where you can take a riverboat trip to see ancient Lycian tombs carved into the cliffs and get to explore the ancient city. At Dalyan, you can take a mud bath in the natural springs and also get to relax on Turtle Beach, where Caretta turtles (loggerhead turtles) lay their eggs each year. The choice is yours. Once everyone is back on board you will spend the night at a nearby bay.

Day 7

Ekincik to Fethiye


Today you will start to head back towards FethiyeYou will enter one of Turkey's most stunning coastal areas - Gocek Bay. Located in the Gulf of Fethiye there are 12 offshore islands, some scattered in ancient ruins and some spectacular bays to stop and swim in. First stop will be Gocek Island where you can swim in the beautiful surroundings of these azure waters. Lunch will then be served at Cleopatra Bath - Hamam Bay, which is said to be where Queen Cleopatra enjoyed her baths here in ancient times. This will be your last swimming stop before we head back into Fethiye Harbour, so make sure you enjoy exploring all the ruins that are submerged throughout the area. Finally, in the afternoon you will return to Fethiye Harbour where you will spend the evening.

Day 8

Fethiye
