Kas - Kekova - Kalkan - Kas Itinerary

Kas Town is predominantly a holiday resort town located on the Lycian Way. Tour members will depart from Kas at 4:00 pm. Ancient ruins from the city of Antiphellos can be found here, although the town's history dates back to the Lycian period. We will then head southwest to Guvercin Island. This stop will be perfect for soaking up the sun and admiring the surroundings. The waters are typical of the Mediterranean: warm, clear, and relaxing. From here, our next stop will be Inonu Bay. It is known to be one of the most beautiful bays in the area and is a great spot for diving, snorkeling, and a variety of watersports.

Kas
One of the most preferred stops on Blue Cruises, Kas is a favorite of those who love sailing and swimming with its turquoise waters and sandy beaches. Thousands of years of history are revealed with ancient settlements, sunken cities, and Lycian rock tombs. With dozens of bars and taverns, fun nightlife and unique local shops, fun never ends in the city center.

Guvercin Island
Guvercin Island in Antalya is a haven in the midst of the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, promising visitors a peaceful retreat. The waters of the island invite everybody to take a trip to explore its secrets and magnificent underwater world.

Inonu Bay
Inonu Bay, with its crystal clear turquoise water sparkling in the sun, is one of the most beautiful bays in the Mediterranean. This is a center of relaxation and diving, where the underwater world will introduce travelers to colorful marine life.

Yaglica Bay is a highly sheltered inlet and a favored spot for yacht cruises due to low levels of wind. After starting the day here, the tour will then guide us to Kekova Aquarium Bay. Like its name suggests, the waters are crystal clear. The surroundings are great for snorkeling, diving, and other watersports. Directly west of the bay, we will head towards The Ancient City of Aperlai. This site is an important ancient Lycian port city, and part of it remains underwater. The ancient city is located directly on the Aperlai Lycian Way, which we will explore before finishing the day at Kocakari Bay. A popular site for overnight stays, the beautiful inlet has calm, warm waters that can be enjoyed by all.

Yaglica Bay
The virgin Yaglica Bay opens the doors of peace and serenity with its lush forests and pristine turquoise sea. In addition to swimming, guests can also take part in other activities such as snorkeling and diving to see sea creatures.

Kekova Aquarium Bay
Aquarium Bay is a stunning spot placed between two islands south of Kekova, Antalya. With lush green mountains and crystal clear turquoise waters, it is clear why this is one of Antalya’s most desirable bays.

Aperlai
The first place in Anatolia to dye fabric, the ancient city of Aperlai offers visitors a unique swimming experience among its underwater remains. These ruins create enchanting views on the Mediterranean coast near Kekova.

Aperlai Lycian Way
The Aperlai Lycian Way is part of the famous hiking trail near Kekova. It charms visitors with its stunning nature and impressive remains of the ancient city of Aperlai.

Kocakari Bay
Kocakari Bay is the best place to swim in turquoise waters surrounded by the greenery of the Kekova. Diving under the fresh blue will reveal the beauty of the underwater world with an abundance of sea life.

The picturesque Ucagiz Village is a top destination surrounding Kas. It was given the status of Special Environment Protection Area, and so despite high tourism, it is unspoiled. From here, the tour will lead us to Kekova. Like Ucagiz Village, it is a small coastal town known for Blue Cruises and daily excursion trips. Kekova is also known for its uninhabited island, where the ancient Sunken City can be found. From here, we will cross back over to the mainland to Simena, a coastal Lycian town where Simena Castle can be found. The tour will explore both the town and castle surroundings before moving onto Gokkaya Bay. It is one of the many secluded bays found around Simena and is a perfect location for diving due to its diverse marine life.

Ucagiz
Ucagiz is a small fishing town and a beautiful gateway to the larger Kekova region, renowned for its natural beauty and historic treasures. Though many travelers use it as a starting point before sailing off to the Sunken City and Simena Castle, it is also notable for its necropolis ruins from ancient Theimussa.

Kekova
Kekova is one of Antalya’s most-loved spots, especially for those traveling by boat. A mix of local history dating back to the Roman era as well as beautiful bays for relaxation are why it is so popular. Whether it be a hike in Simena, diving in the Sunken City, or relaxing in Esmeralda Bay, there is a great range of activities for all.

Sunken City
The Sunken City at Kekova in Turkey is an unusual spectacle of the ruins of ancient civilizations under the water. Visitors can go diving in one of the most beautiful places in the world, so similar to the legendary Atlantis.

Simena
Most known for its impressive Byzantine Castle, the village of Kalekoy is mostly a quiet seaside resort that is very popular in the summer months. Only approachable by boat, the charming Mediterranean village, previously the site of ancient Simena, boasts stunning views of neighboring Kekova and a lone, partially submerged Lycian sarcophagus.

Simena Castle
Simena Castle is the ancient ruins of a fortress on the hill of a former Lycian city, which is one of the amazing sights of the Kekova region with Theimussa. At the top of the fortress, beautiful panoramic views of nature and a touch of history await visitors.

Gokkaya Bay
Gokkaya Bay is a cove with extraordinary beauties located on the shores of the Mediterranean that can only be reached by boat. It is the largest bay in the region with its proximity to historical ruins, the clarity of the cerulean sea, and the surrounding natural greenery.

On the southern point of Asirli Island, Pirates' Cave can be found, whose name comes from stories about the cave being a secret hideout for pirates. The cave has a naturally formed opening and is big enough for small boats to enter. From here, the tour will lead us to Demre, a coastal district named after the river that runs down from the mountains. It is built alongside the ancient Lycian town of Myra and has many historic sites such as ancient tombs, an amphitheater, and the Church of St. Nicholas. Lastly, we will wrap the day up at Karalos Bay, a sheltered beach south-east of Kekova Island. The surrounding pine forests and glass-like waters are a must-see when in the area.

Optional Tour: Demre Myra
This tour will take you to visit the ancient city of Myra – famed for its ancient amphitheatre and rock tombs. You can also visit the Church of St Nicholas (Santa Claus).

Pirates Cave
Lying on the Turkish Mediterranean coast, Pirates Cave is a famous tourist attraction in Alanya. The picturesque cave is half submerged in transparent sea water and has a long history entangled with legends.

Demre
A beloved destination with its turquoise blue coves and stunning beaches, Demre offers unforgettable memories. The region is full of striking ancient ruins from ancient civilizations such as Lycian rock tombs and the Church of St. Nicholas. The calm waters places like Kekova Island, Aquarium Bay, and Tasdibi Beach, create a serene atmosphere among all the hustle and bustle of the region.

Karalos Bay
Resembling a starfish when viewed from the sky, Karalos Bay resembles a corner of paradise. Thanks to its unique geography, turquoise color, and natural beauties such as caretta caretta turtles, the bay is a haven for boaters.

Eleksi Island is found in the vicinity of Kekova, and its clear waters make for perfect diving conditions. Warm waters and currents from the Mediterranean make for an ideal environment for various sea life. The marine life here is healthy, and those that choose to snorkel, swim, or dive will understand why. Scholes of colorful fish, coral reefs, and even the occasional turtle can be found here. A short distance away is Ufakdere Bay, which will be the last stop for today. Set on the Lycian Way, this bay has a campsite and a small cluster of facilities. The naturally sheltered bay is welcoming for an overnight stay.

Eleksi Island
Eleksi Island is a secluded spot ideal for anchoring, swimming, and diving. Incredible beauty, vibrant blue seas, and ancient sunken ruins will provide visitors with an unforgettable experience.

Ufukdere Bay
Ufakdere Bay is a volcanic lagoon surrounded by olive and date trees, offering guests a haven with secure anchorage. The calm waters of the sea change among  all shades of blue, hiding a colorful underwater world that beckons to explore.

Maradi Island, also known as Gurmenli Island, is situated just off the shore of Kas. The island is a hotspot for boaters, yachtsmen, and bay hoppers. It is known for its wild goats as well as its rich marine life, making it a favored diving spot. From here, we will move onto Kaputas Beach, which sits between two tall cliffs at the entrance of a canyon. Although the canyon is great for swimming, hiking along the canyon is also possible. Our last stop will be Firnaz Beach, also known as Yesilkoy or Aquarium Beach, known for its turquoise shores, sandy beaches, and warm waters.

Maradi Island
Maradi Island is a small island located near Kas, Turkey. It offers crystal-clear waters that are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing, with comfortable water temperatures.

Kaputas Beach
Kaputas Beach is a much loved boat stop located between famous holiday spots Kas and Kalkan. Visitors can feel relaxed at the secluded turquoise cove that has a number of facilities for guests convenience.

Yesilkoy
Firnaz Bay is an azure location in the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, giving visitors perfect photos and vivid memories. It’s a heavenly mixture of green nature and the blue sea with historical objects scattered nearby.

Besmi Island is a delightful, small island located south of Kas. Despite high tourism rates, this island still holds its charm. It is deep in the Mediterranean and has high levels of marine life, including turtles, corals, fish, and even sting rays. For this reason, as well as the waters being as clear as glass, snorkeling and diving are popular activities. After basking in the sun and enjoying the sandy beach, the tour will move onto Limanagzi Bay. It is one of the most beautiful bays in Kas and a must-see if you are in the area. On the skirt of the lush green hills, it has incredible views of the surroundings.
